Andy Hannon Art
Welcome to my world of art
I’m a local artist with a passion for capturing the beauty and character of the world around us. From expressive watercolours to detailed house portraits, my work spans a variety of styles, all rooted in a love of colour, light, and atmosphere.
Since retiring, I’ve been fortunate to dedicate more of my time to painting—something that has always been close to my heart. This new chapter has allowed me to explore my creativity more freely, developing a body of work that reflects both familiar landscapes and personal inspiration. Whether it’s a sweeping countryside view, a coastal scene, or a cherished home brought to life on paper, each piece is created with care and attention to detail.
My paintings are known for their cheerful, bright quality, and I’ve been incredibly encouraged by the positive feedback I’ve received from collectors and clients. Art, for me, is about creating something that lifts the spirit and brings a sense of joy—and I hope you’ll find something here that does just that.
Andy us exceptional.
Andy is a wonderful friend and an exceptionally gifted artist whose work never fails to captivate me. I am fortunate to own several of his pieces, and each one reveals a remarkable sensitivity to colour, atmosphere and the subtle poetry of nature. What I particularly admire is his ability to create striking juxtapositions, the fragile beauty of a blossom against a dramatic, storm-laden sky, the ethereal luminosity of moonlight, or the profound stillness of a landscape. His paintings invite you to pause, look more closely, and become completely immersed in the mood he has created.
There is both imagination and emotional intelligence in his work. He has a rare talent for transforming familiar scenes into something quietly magical, capturing not simply what nature looks like, but how it feels.
His website is a wonderful reflection of his creativity and artistic vision. It is a pleasure to explore and to discover more of his work.
Best wishes,
Anita Ranmal

Wonderful pieces - bespoke and beautiful.
Andy has done many meaningful pieces for us Including painting the beaches which my late mum loved and recently an amazing scribble drawing of my beautiful daughters. These meant a whole lot to me. All his art is unique, from his landscape watercolours to his caricatures of local pubs or peoples homes, to his drawings of loved ones and pets. There is heart and talent in everything he paints. Have a look and buy some of his amazing work you will not be disappointed 😀
Landscapes and seascapes
I have a number of watercolours mainly of landscapes and seascapes painted by Andy and they are exceptionally good, I have also purchased a significant number of Christmas cards which are caricatures of local hostelries, besides being unique they are extremely attractive.
